Punchlist - Construction Project Action Items

Problem: Large construction projects have crates of action items of varying sizes. If all of these action items are not executed, the project is in danger of a delayed completion--this is bad.

Solution: Action items are logged and described one time in the 'Punchlist' application. Solutions are logged and described. At any time, reports showing action item status (arranged a variety of ways) help keep duties on the minds of the responsible parties.

HBC's client develops billon dollar construction projects. These projects' flows of transmittals and requests for information generate large lists of action items. If these action items are not managed, then some might fall through the cracks and threaten the projects' completion dates. So this large industrial company commissioned HBC to develop Punchlist.

Punchlist logs detailed information pertaining to Transmittals and Requests for Information. This information includes: party making request; responsible party; priority; request data; scheduled completion date; actual completion date; company specific confidential info; etc.

Punchlist generates reports reflecting the above information in a variety of ways depending on need. The most frequently used report is a list of action items sorted by responsible party which is distributed accordingly.
